Attention coffee drinkers, this one goes out to you! All of us coffee addicts know just how important it is to have a damn fine cup of covfefe, I mean coffee, as soon as we open our eyes. For many, it is the only way to start functioning properly.

Heavy coffee drinkers don’t just drink their favorite cup of Joe in the morning, but go on to have several more throughout the day. So is this good or bad for our health?

The answer is GOOD, according to several new studies.

Drink As Much As You Want And Can

We already talked about some of the little known benefits of caffeine including:

But now, according to Dr. Peter Martin, director of the Institute for Coffee Studies at Vanderbilt University, it seems that heavy coffee drinkers don’t have to worry about too much caffeine.

“What I tell patients is, if you like coffee, go ahead and drink as much as you want and can,” says Dr. Peter Martin, who even developed a metric for monitoring your dosage:

“If you are having trouble sleeping, cut back on your last cup of the day. From there, If you drink that much, it’s not going to do you any harm, and it might actually help you. A lot.”

Coffee As A Nutrient?

As the American Medical Association reports: ”moderate tea or coffee drinking likely has no negative effect on health, as long as you live an otherwise healthy lifestyle.”

Since the benefits of drinking coffee extend from preventing Alzheimer’s disease and Multiple Sclerosis, to protecting the liver and boosting your Workout Endurance – scientists say that we should “embrace coffee for reasons beyond the benefits of caffeine, and that we might go so far as to consider it a nutrient.”

I’m going to fix myself another cup a joe right away!
