Weekly Dose Of Healthy Recipes: Sublime Ginger And Honey Mahi Mahi Sensation

Ok, January is almost over and with another holiday season now behind us, it is time to make an effort to treat your body with some healthy meals and get those toxins out.

And what better way to do just that, then with some extremely healthy and mouth-watering fish meat.

This special but easy Mahi Mahi recipe manages to combine both sweet and sour taste sensations in such a way, your taste buds will be more than satisfied.

It takes about 40 minutes to prepare this delicious meal, but its beautiful aftertaste will linger in your mouth much, much longer.

Let’s get crackin’!


  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 mahi mahi fillets (6 ounces each)
  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger root
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • salt and pepper to taste

Step By Step Preparation

  1. In a small bowl, stir together the honey, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, ginger, garlic and olive oil.
  2. Season the fillets with salt and pepper to taste, then place them into the mix. Cover and put in refrigerator for 20 minutes to marinate.
  3. After the marinating process is complete, remove the fish, but reserve the marinade.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet and fry the fillets for up to 6 minutes on each side, turning only once. Remove fillets and roll them up in tin foil to keep warm.
  5. Pour the marinade mixture into the skillet, and heat over medium heat. Once the mix is reduced to a glaze, spoon it over the fillets, and serve immediately.

We recommend serving this healthy and awesomely delicious dish with some fine white wine to enhance the whole event.
