The amount of ingredients in this recipe will be enough for 4 servings.
Ingredients
- ¼ cup of sesame seeds
- ¼ cup of black sesame seeds
- 4 ahi tuna steaks
- 1 tablespoon of dark sesame oil
- ½ pound of red cabbage, thinly sliced
- ½ pound of Napa cabbage, thinly sliced
- 2 carrots, cut into julienne strips
- 1 onion, halved and thinly sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 8 ounces of snow peas
- Teriyaki stir-fry sauce
- Hot cooked rice
Step By Step Preparation
- Combine the sesame seeds on a plate. Take the tuna steaks, and evenly coat both sides of them with the sesame seeds. Heat a large, heavy skillet over high heat until it’s very hot, and sear the tuna steaks in it (1 minute per side for rare, 3 minutes per side for medium-rare). Remove the tuna from the heat and set it aside.
- Get a large wok or saucepan, and heat it over high heat. Add the veggies to the pan, and stir-fry them for about 2 minutes (or until they’re crisp-tender). Add the Teriyaki sauce to the stir-fry, to taste.
- Slice the steaks in half and serve them with the rice and the teriyaki stir-fry. Drizzle them with sweet chili sauce.
