Weekly Dose Of Healthy Recipes: Baked Tilapia

If you are looking for an easy to prepare tilapia recipe that will tickle the taste buds of your friends, you’ve come to the right place. This simple and healthy dish will take only about 35 minutes of your time, and the amount of ingredients listed below is enough for 5 persons.

Ingredients

  • 4 (4 ounce) fillets tilapia
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning TM
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 lemon (sliced)
  • 1 (16 ounce) package frozen cauliflower with broccoli and red pepper

Step By Step Preparation

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. Take your 9×13 inch baking dish (or similar) and grease it up.
  3. Place the tilapia fillets in the bottom of the baking dish. Dot with butter and season with Old Bay seasoning and garlic salt.
  4. Top each slice with several slices of lemon.
  5. Take frozen mixed vegetables and arrange them around the slices. Season with salt and pepper (lightly though, we don’t want to end up with the fish slices being too salty).
  6. Cover the baking dish and bake for 30 minutes. When the vegetables are soft and fish meat flakes easily with a fork, the dish is ready to be served.

We recommend some fine white wine to enhance the experience.
