Sleep Tight And Don’t Let The Calories Bite

As you probably know, sleep is the only time our body can regenerate physical and mental energy. That’s why having a good night’s sleep is so important, but as it turns out, you can’t really achieve that if your diet is unhealthy.

The recent study published in the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine discovered that a diet that’s low in fiber but rich in saturated fats can reduce the duration of slow-wave sleep.

In other words, eating unhealthy foods will prevent you from recharging your batteries at night.

Dr. Nathaniel Watson, who helmed the study, said: “This study emphasizes the fact that diet and sleep are interwoven in the fabric of a healthy lifestyle. For optimal health, it is important to make lifestyle choices that promote healthy sleep, such as eating a nutritious diet and exercising regularly.
