If you are searching for an easy brownies recipe, you’ve come to the right place. These mouth-watering cookies are nice and soft, and they are packed with chocolate goodness.

Once you have all the ingredients, it shouldn’t take you more that 1 hour and 30 minutes to make these cuties. Ok, let’s do this!

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup vegetable shortening
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 ts vanilla extract
  • 1 tbs water
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 ts salt
  • 1/4 ts baking soda
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Preparation

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

Take the vegetable shortening and sugar and mix them in a large bowl using an electric mixer. Once the mix is smooth, mix in one egg. Now mix in the other egg along with vanilla extract and water.

In a separate, smaller bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl. Stir it until it becomes creamy. Mix at low speed and add in chocolate chips.

Dough up your ungreased baking sheets.

Bake in preheated oven. The optimal time is 7 to 9 minutes, but you’ll be able to see when the cookies are ready.
