Most importantly, individuals who stop eating meat, particularly processed meat, such as ham and bacon, decrease the risk of ever developing cancer. Further, vegans and vegetarians are less likely to suffer from heart disease, so anyone considering making changes to their diet, eliminating meat or at least reducing the amount of meat consumed on a daily basis can bring some pretty substantial health benefits.
