Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 onion (diced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 (15-ounce) can organic kidney beans (drained)
- 1 (15-ounce) can organic black beans (drained)
- 1 (14 1/2-ounce) can diced fire-roasted tomatoes
- 1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 1/2 cups water
- Salt to taste
Step By Step Preparation
- In a large skillet and over medium heat, cook: ground beef, diced onions, and minced garlic. Make sure you break up meat using a fork.
- Cook until the beef has lost almost all of its pink color. Drain off the fat.
- Place in your slow cooker along with the remaining ingredients, and cover.
- Cook on low for up to 8 hours.
