Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 onion (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 (15-ounce) can organic kidney beans (drained)
  • 1 (15-ounce) can organic black beans (drained)
  • 1 (14 1/2-ounce) can diced fire-roasted tomatoes
  • 1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • Salt to taste

Step By Step Preparation

  1. In a large skillet and over medium heat, cook: ground beef, diced onions, and minced garlic. Make sure you break up meat using a fork.
  2. Cook until the beef has lost almost all of its pink color. Drain off the fat.
  3. Place in your slow cooker along with the remaining ingredients, and cover.
  4. Cook on low for up to 8 hours.
  5. Enjoy!
