Let’s get busy!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup non-fat buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons mustard (Dijon if possible)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons hot sauce
  • 6 medium to large chicken breasts, remove the skin
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon kosher or sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Step By Step Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. In a large and wide bowl, whisk together the following ingredients: buttermilk, mustard, garlic, and hot sauce.
  3. Coat the chicken with the mix by flipping it so both sides are covered.
  4. Use parchment paper to line your baking sheet.
  5. In a smaller bowl, whisk the flour, paprika, thyme, baking powder, salt and pepper.
  6. In a bowl (with an airtight lid), pour the seasoned flour and add the chicken 2 pieces at a time, and shake with the lid on. Remove any excess flour from the meat, and place it on the baking sheet. Brush the chicken with olive oil.
  7. Bake the chicken for up to 50 minutes (or until golden brown and no longer pink in the center).
  8. Enjoy!
