10 Outrageously Extravagant Meals Worth More Than Their Weight In Gold

Douche-Burger

What is the most expensive meal that you’ve ever eaten? While we have all over-indulged at a fancy restaurant at one time or another, there are some eateries that take extravagance to a whole new level. These meals demand high prices that most of the world would never dream of paying.

10. Douche Burger – $666

When you think of gourmet cuisine, a food truck likely isn’t the venue that pops into your mind. However, 666 Burger, a food truck in New York, offers quite the delicacy with their $666 Douche Burger.

Truck owner Franz Aliquo is behind this devilish creation that slaps the world’s most expensive ingredients between two buns.

It starts with a Kobe beef patty that is wrapped in gold leaf before being toeped with foie gras, lobster, truffles, and caviar.

Add aged gruyere cheese that has been melted with the steam from champagne, Himalayan rock salt, and kopi luwak barbeque sauce and you have an excessively rich indulgence.

Admittedly, Aliquo doesn’t really care how many of these burgers he sells, and he does not expect to make much money off of this endeavor. He states that the regular burgers sold at his truck cost a mere $6.66, and while people may be attracted to his business because of the Douche Burger, they end up purchasing the regularly priced sandwich. Apparently, this has always been the ultimate goal.

The icing on the cake when it comes to this expensive lunch is that the entire meal is wrapped up in three $100 bills. According to the owner, this is where the sandwich received the name of Douche Burger. After you’ve finished the burger, you are left with three greasy bills to deal with.
